Next Level Coffee Presents AI-Driven CoffeeTech to Tech Experts and Investors in San Francisco

Four minds, one vision: Founders Dominik Maier and Marius Kütemeyer travel with Head of Data & AI Sneha James and Customer Value Architect Natalie Münster to the heart of the global tech and innovation ecosystem.

CoffeeTech meets AI: nunc. demonstrates how data-driven systems, physical models, and AI are redefining a centuries-old craft

No More Bad Coffee: Live demos, in-depth exchange, and strong appeal to VC, ConsumerTech, and AI experts in Silicon Valley

Next Level Coffee takes its vision of uncompromising coffee quality to Silicon Valley. Founders Dominik Maier and Marius Kütemeyer traveled to San Francisco and Palo Alto together with Sneha James, Head of Data & AI, and Natalie Münster, Customer Value Architect, to present the latest innovations behind nunc. to tech experts, investors, and AI pioneers.

At the core of the trip were exclusive product demos, deep discussions with representatives from venture capital, consumer tech, and artificial intelligence, as well as direct exchange with the U.S. tech community. Particular interest was drawn to the seamless integration of hardware, software, and data-driven intelligence.

“Silicon Valley is where product thinking, AI, speed, and customer centricity converge. This was exactly the place to show what nunc. is truly capable of – and why, thanks to AI, consistency and top-tier quality no longer have to be a matter of chance,” says Dominik Maier, co-founder of Next Level Coffee.

CoffeeTech Reimagined – From Physics to AI

nunc. takes a radically different approach to coffee preparation. Rather than relying solely on mechanics or manual perfection, the system combines physical models with real-time sensor data, AI, and closed-loop systems that also incorporate personal taste preferences.

“Espresso is physics – water flowing through a porous medium. If you take that seriously, AI agents allow you to make predictions and compute and correct deviations, instead of leaving results to chance,” explains Sneha James, Head of Data & AI at Next Level Coffee. On this foundation, nunc. normalizes extractions across machines and continues to learn with every cup.

Each shot captures several thousand data points. Combined with sensory evaluations from Q-graders and barista champions, this creates a closed-loop AI system that continuously optimizes itself – delivering reproducible quality regardless of location, user, or bean.

Inspiration from Silicon Valley – A Relentlessly Frictionless Customer Experience

Alongside its own demos, the team deliberately immersed itself in the local product and experience culture, meeting the AI builders behind robotics, software, sensors, and autonomous vehicles. Particularly striking was the consistently frictionless approach of modern, software-defined products.

“If people can’t experience the magic of a product instantly, you lose them. Our ambition is the same: better coffee, magically easy,” says Marius Kütemeyer, co-founder of Next Level Coffee.

This philosophy was echoed in feedback from the community. Demo attendees highlighted not only the quality in the cup, but also the holistic system design – conceived as a platform rather than a standalone device.

Strong Interest from Investors and the Tech Community

Throughout the trip, the team encountered strong interest from the U.S. investor landscape. The market for high-end coffee systems is already valued in the billions, with additional upside driven by software, data, AI, and services. nunc. positions itself as a pioneer at this intersection.

“The conversations in the Valley confirmed that our approach resonates: hardware as the foundation, software as the lever, and data and AI as long-term value drivers,” adds Dominik Maier.

Next Level Coffee is currently in its scaling phase and is pushing forward the international expansion of nunc. with clear focus and momentum.
