Dynamic Recipe is for those who want an exceptional cup without thinking about the technology behind it. The nunc. sensory intelligence handles everything: grind size, temperature, brew ratio, dose – fully automatic, continuously learning, backed by our success guarantee. The very first shot impresses. And every one after that gets better.
Manual Mode is for those who want to become the barista. Scan your beans, then take the wheel. Grind size, dose, temperature, brew ratio – all in your hands. Your recipes are saved and ready to use whenever you want them. No other espresso machine does that.
Manual Mode is free, forever. Dynamic Recipe is a premium feature – and for the first six months, you can explore it completely free of charge. And for as long as we're in beta, it stays free.
How anybeans™ works – step by step
Step 1: Scan your coffee bag
Open the nunc. app and scan your coffee bag – up to three photos work best. The app automatically recognises origin, roast profile, processing method and roast date. Anything it can't read, you can quickly fill in yourself: the roaster's name or the variety. The more detail, the better the system performs. But don't worry if some information is missing – anybeans™ adjusts the dynamic recipe even without it.
Step 2: Generate your recipe
Now the nunc. sensory intelligence takes over. A Dynamic Recipe is created automatically, in seconds, tailored precisely to your beans. Prefer to dial things in yourself? Simply switch to Manual Mode.
Step 3: Link your Refill Pod
Hold your phone up to the Bean Tag on your Refill Pod. Your roast data is transferred via NFC – this only needs to happen once. The recipe itself is retrieved in real time from the cloud and updated automatically with every brew. Important: hold your phone to the small grid behind the Bean Tag, not the QR code.
Step 4: Fill your Pod
Fill the Refill Pod with your beans, place it into the Smart Hopper and dock it onto the grinder. The nunc. recognises the Pod, loads the recipe – and is ready to brew.
Step 5: Brew and enjoy!
Your nunc. configures itself automatically. No adjustments needed – you simply press the Ritual Button and voilà: coffee like in your favorite café, right at home.
A small note to get started: the first shot with Dynamic Recipe is always a Calibration Shot. It analyses your roast and forms the foundation for all further optimisations. After around 15 minutes, the system is calibrated – and from then on, every shot only gets better.
Your beans. Your Collection.
All your beans and recipes – Dynamic and Manual – are saved in your Collection. This means you can switch between different coffees anytime without setting things up again. A fruity Ethiopian single origin in the morning, a rich Brazilian blend in the afternoon.
And because the Dynamic Recipe continuously evolves, every bean in your Collection gets extracted better over time – automatically.
