A Creator’s Cup: How coffeepetitee Turns Coffee into Tiny Works of Art

A Creator’s Cup: Wie coffeepetitee Kaffee in kleine Kunstwerke verwandelt.

Céline, better known as coffeepetitee, captivates thousands of coffee lovers on social media every day with her creative coffee and matcha drinks, as well as her stunning latte art. Her videos inspire viewers to rethink their coffee rituals and refresh them with a creative twist.

At coffeepetitee, the day begins with a flat white – and often ends with a new video or a creative coffee experiment. Between beans, camera, and a lot of attention to detail, small masterpieces are created that not only delight the taste buds but also inspire others to recreate them.

Together with nunc., we visited Céline, where we not only had the pleasure of enjoying some exceptional coffee but also got an exclusive peek behind the scenes of her creative world. Céline shares how her passion for coffee began, what she loves most about nunc., and of course, she recreated one of her favorite recipes for us: a dreamy Iced Salted Caramel Latte, which you’ll find at the end of this post.

Coffee at home or in a café – where does it taste better to you?

Céline: Honestly, these days I prefer having my coffee at home. I get to pick exactly which beans I use — and I’m all about chocolatey beans with low acidity. When you order coffee at a café, you never really know what beans they're using — it’s either a hit or a miss. Same with oat milk: you never know what brand they use, and not all oat milks are great for coffee.

Coffee or matcha — which one wins your heart in the morning?

Céline: Definitely coffee. Matcha is delicious too, but coffee offers way more flavor variety. Especially in the mornings, I need my coffee — preferably a strong Flat White that really wakes me up. My daily ritual is: enjoying a relaxed Flat White at home and then grabbing a matcha to go for my commute on the train.

How do your creative coffee drinks come to life? Are there certain places or people that inspire you?

Céline: It depends! Sure, I get a lot of inspiration from Reels and social media. But a lot of my ideas pop up when I’m out and about, visiting new cafés. Two years ago, I had an Iced Tiramisu Latte in Miami — it was so good that I recreated it as soon as I got home. I rarely follow strict recipes, though. I usually just trust my intuition, and so far, that works pretty well! Of course, sometimes a drink doesn’t taste perfect on the first try, but then I just tweak it until it does.

What does your perfect morning coffee look like? What’s a must-have for you?

Céline: It totally depends on whether I have work or not. During the week, I definitely need a strong Flat White to really get going. On weekends, I love taking my time with the preparation. Especially in summer, I enjoy sitting outside with an Iced Latte. And one of my favorite things to do is grab a coffee to go and stroll along the lakeside promenade here in Konstanz.

Do you remember how you became a coffee lover? Was there a key moment?

Céline: I first got hooked during my university exam period. I realized I needed something to keep me awake — but sadly, the coffee at university wasn’t great. My real passion for coffee started about two years ago. I began watching videos and discovered how many creative drinks you can make with coffee. That’s when I really dived into it — I bought a grinder, learned how to dial it in, and started to understand what makes good coffee beans different from bad ones. Before that, I honestly had no idea about acidity levels or anything like that.

What’s one thing your coffee corner can't live without?

Céline: Definitely my knock box — without it, I'd have to run to the kitchen to empty out the coffee grounds every time, which would be super annoying. I also always have a cup ready to go. Plus, I love having a little light, like a small lamp, and a few candles. I want my coffee corner to be practical, but also cozy and beautiful.

Your content feels so effortless — but how much work actually goes into creating one of your coffee moments?

Céline: Most of my Reels are only 10 to 15 seconds long, but they usually take at least an hour to create. I film about 10 to 20 minutes of raw footage and then spend another 30 to 45 minutes editing. If I can't find the perfect song right away, it can take even longer — because the music has to fit the vibe of the video. So yeah, it’s definitely more work than you might think from just watching.

Where do you see coffeepetitee in a few years — maybe your own café?

Céline: Honestly, I would love to have my own brand — maybe my own coffee and matcha products, and eventually my own café where I could serve them. Who knows what the future holds! A lot of my friends keep telling me, “You have to open your own café!” And I would love to — but it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Which of our coffee blends did you like best — and why?

Céline: I actually love both Glowing Beach and Roaring Volcano. In the morning, I prefer Glowing Beach because it’s a bit milder. But in the afternoon, when I need a little extra kick,Roaring Volcano is just perfect.

What do you love most about the nunc.? Is there a feature that really stood out to you?

Céline: I absolutely love the feeling when you push the portafilter into the grinder — it’s so satisfying! And it’s amazing that the machine steams the milk automatically. That way, I can prep my breakfast while the milk is frothing. What I really appreciate is how customizable the nunc. is — you can play around and fine-tune a lot if you want to, but you don’t have to. It’s super user-friendly, which I love.

If you were to recommend the nunc. to someone — who would it be perfect for?

Céline: Definitely for all the home baristas out there who love coffee, care about quality and design, but still want an easy and quick experience. Especially in the mornings, when you’re short on time, the nunc. is a total game changer — the milk froths automatically, and you can easily adjust the strength of your espresso and other parameters. It’s perfect for those who love to experiment — and also for those who just want great coffee with zero fuss.

Before you go: Shake, sip, and fall in love with coffeepetitee’s Iced Salted Caramel Latte

Céline shared one more little secret with us: her go-to recipe for a dreamy Iced Salted Caramel Latte — a swirl of sweetness, ice, and airy cold foam that tastes like pure happiness in a glass.

Here’s how to bring a little coffeepetitee magic into your day:

What you need:

  • 1 double shot of espresso (or strong coffee)
  • 200 ml oat milk (or any milk you love)
  • 2–3 teaspoons salted caramel syrup
  • Ice Cubes
  • Cold foam (cold milk frothed until silky and light)
  • Optional: a little extra salted caramel for the sweet drizzle

How to make it:

  1. Brew your espresso and let it cool slightly — patience makes it perfect.
  2. Whip up your cold foam until it’s fluffy like a coffee cloud.
  3. Add ice cubes to your glass and pour in the salted caramel syrup.
  4. Follow with your oat milk, letting it dance around the ice.
  5. Slowly pour in the espresso for those picture-perfect layers.
  6. Gently float your cold foam on top, like a soft little crown.
  7. Feeling extra? Add a drizzle of caramel love.
  8. Stir lightly, sip deeply — and taste a little moment of magic.

Because sometimes, happiness really does come in a glass.
